WonGlepong

Just so you know there is actually a Wonglepong Down Under!

My mate Jenny Deering sent in this photo taken last Century (?? – yup a while back now!!!)  when she and her mates were on a trek ‘cross country and stumbled ‘pon good ol’ Wonglepong. She’s keeping it a secret  ‘cos no-one yet has guessed the real location of our Emu Station Wonglepong. Pity Jenny missed Emu Station on her way through – maybe next century?

No winners for the Where in the world is Wonglepong competion but a special Emu feather is winging it’s way to Dragon Wind who reckons its “underwater outback be’ond the black stump”.Hmmm! not even close but better luck next time. HOpe he likes the Emu feather I really had to chase down Cute to get her to part with one of her special ones.

Distinguished Emu on the otha  hand is jus’ plain snooty, or so all me mates think.  ‘e comes from a long line of Emu leaders and tries to keep tha standards up ‘roun’ ta station.  We call him Dissi fer short – really gits up his beak that doz !

Inquisitive Emu ( we calls her Quizzie fer short)  jus’ keeps poppin’ up all over ta  find out wha’s  happenin  roun’  tha Station.  Keeps ever’one up on tha local goss’.  Hmm!  Me thinks she shoulda been called Sticky Beak not Quizzie !

Blue Emu, heck he’s sooooo tall all anyone ever sees is him and tha sky.  Story goes he fell inta a beer keg as a sprog an’ jus’  kept an  growin’ an’ growin’.

Then there’s Bruce an’ Bluey – heck they go everywhere tagether. Theys always hecklin’ the other Emus big time.
